EU funded projects

In addition to our own think tank work, we actively participate in projects funded through the EU Research and Innovation Programmes that cover topics related to agriculture and the environment. Our role in these projects focuses on developing policy aspects and bringing together stakeholders at the EU level to engage in policy discussions, as well as disseminating and communicating project results.

Foundation is currently involved in the Horizon 2020 BESTMAP project which kicked off in September 2019 and will work for four years to develop improved tools to European policy-makers to predict the impacts of future policies on rural areas.

Circular Agronomics H2020

Agronomics (CA) provides a comprehensive synthesis of practical solutions to improve the current Carbon (C), Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) cycling in European agro-ecosystems and related up- and down-stream processes within the value-chain of food production.

The RISE Foundation is currently involved in the Horizon 2020 SYSTEMIC project which works between 2017 and 2021 to demonstrate new approaches for the valorisation of biowaste into green energy, mineral resources, fertilisers and organic soil improvers at five large-scale biogas plants throughout Europe.
